Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is an autonomous body run under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. It functions through its regional offices spread across the length and breadth of the country.
The Vidyalaya came into existence on July 1985. It functioned as a Primary School in Army barracks for about 13 years.
It moved into its present own building on 23.08.1998. The first batches of 10th Class and 12th (Science and Commerce) Class were started in sessions 1990-1991 and 2000-2001 respectively.
